Po stopach vlastnych predkova.
(Following in the footsteps of our fathers.)

Slovak-Americans immigrated to the United States in waves beginning in the latter half of the 19th century. Following the American Civil War, men were needed to run the machinery of the industrial revolution. Slovaks mined and smelted metals at the foothills of the Tatras Mountains since the 14th century for armament and money in support of commerce on the Silk Road.
This is the story of one Slovak family named STANA, from the village of Katun, Slovakia and their migration to the steel mills of Cleveland, Ohio and a merging with another Slovak family from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and another Bohemian family in the automotive industry of Cleveland and Detroit, Michigan.
